It is not at all accurate. There is a ton of work involved, and much determination and the right attitude is very important to lose weight. A partner is a good idea, if you can find someone who is also looking to lose weight, and has similar goals. Don't go with anyone who isn't fully determined to follow though because they could negatively affect your own progress.
